The film follows the journey of Vivek, a young man from Lucknow who is sent to Kota by his middle-class parents to prepare for the IIT entrance exams. His father, RK Singh, harbours high aspirations for Vivek, believing that admission to one of the premier engineering colleges will secure his son's future. However, Vivek himself is uncertain about this path, feeling torn between his father's expectations and his own desires.

As the narrative unfolds, the story shifts between the contrasting landscapes of Lucknow and Kota. In Lucknow, Vivek's parents struggle to make ends meet, sacrificing their own comforts to afford the expensive coaching fees for Vivek's preparation. Meanwhile, in Kota, Vivek grapples with his new surroundings, initially feeling out of place but gradually finding his place amidst a group of fellow students at the coaching institute.

Through his interactions with friends like Rinku, Chandan, and Sarika, Vivek begins to navigate the complexities of adolescence and self-discovery.
