Vanessa Bryant Calls Out Meek Mill For 'Insensitive' Lyrics

Venessa Bryant called the lyrics “extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period.” Legendary basketball player, Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant lost their lives along with seven others in a helicopter crash in January, 2020. Mills lyrics say, "Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.”

Venessa wrote "Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period,” Vanessa Bryant wrote in an IG story. "I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better that this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact." Mill has received widespread criticism for the lyrics.

Bryant, along with his daughter and a few other associates, was on his way to a youth basketball game at his Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, California on January 26 2020 when the helicopter he was travelling in crashed into a hillside near Los Virgenes Road and Willow Glen Street amid dense fog. The helicopter company stopped operations indefinitely after the crash.
