Actor Urvashi Rautela, who is continuously making headlines due to her cryptic posts is again in news. Rautela is back in the news for another plagiarism stint, she allegedly copied dialogues from previous TEDx Talks for her recent TEDx Talks. She has already been accused of plagiarising the review of the Oscar-winning film Parasite, and copying Gigi Hadid's post to slam the media.
Earlier this month, Urvashi Rautela's ">TEDx video was released, and now a Reddit post alleges that the actor copied the ideas for her speech from earlier TEDx talks. She allegedly referenced speeches by Isabel Allende, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Dan Pink, and Brené Brown, among others, in her speech.
She seems to have searched for listicles about the most popular ones and copied the contents exactly from some of those. She never stated that the phrases were not her own and, at one point, intentionally used the pronoun "I" to indicate that she had created one of her talking points.
She allegedly took a line from one of the listicles for her opening remarks, and said, "TED Talks began in 1984 with the mission of “spreading ideas.” Since then, a single conference has blossomed into a flurry of ideas that inspire and motivate people from all over the world to achieve more and dare to do great things." For her final point, she went back to the same listicle, about "the psychology of positivity."
Netizen Responded On Urvashi Rautela Tedx Plagiarism
Therefore, the actor was severely mocked in the comment section of the Reddit thread. One user wrote, "When you get people like this on Ted what more do you expect? The problem is with Ted not with Urvashi." another user wrote, "Number 1 in trolling. It would be funny if at the end of her career she would reveal she was secretly a comedian." One more user commented, "I need this kind of confidence." One user commented, "She is the gift that keeps on giving."
Urvashi Rautela was observed having coffee with Chunky Panday's nephew, Ahaan Panday, in 2019. There was speculation that they were dating each other. Rautela posted a detailed response to the allegations on her Instagram account. Later, it was alleged that she had nearly plagiarised the entire statement from supermodel Gigi Hadid, who had written it in response to criticism directed at the media for faking her relationship with singer Zayn Malik.
