This month, the achievements of women over the years is celebrated and like a global festival, different quarters from all over the world chip in for the big month. From brand campaigns to new movies releases, the month is filled with fresh content to look forward to.

The OTT platforms like Netflix have also stocked up on new and old shows to feature on its platform this month. From documentaries to films, the platform has a long lineup of fresh content releasing this month.

Here are a few upcoming women-centric shows on Netflix:

Bad Vegan

This documentary has been directed by Chris Smith. The director is famous for another Netflix documentary titled Tiger King which made waves in 2020. The journey of Sarma Melngailis from a vegan restaurateur to jail is covered in the documentary. Melngailis was involved in major tax fraud, labour fraud and grand larceny. The show will show how she married a "mysterious man" who claimed that he could make her dog immortal. Apart from the short and intriguing synopsis of the show, the makers named the title of the documentary Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitive.

The Principles of Pleasure

This docuseries releasing on Netflix this month explores female pleasure and the myths associated to it. Through interviews of real women and experts, the series aims to bust the myths about female body and the mystery around female orgasm. In the trailer, a woman is heard saying, "knowing where the clitoris is power, knowing where your own clitoris is power." The series also has American comedian Michelle Buteau. The showrunner of the series is Mona A. Panchal.

Marilyn's Eyes 

This Italian film directed by Simone Godano is about two people who meet each other at a mental institution. They talk about restaurant and food and bring it to reality. Through the plot, the main character's try to discover what they need in life to go forward. The official synopsis states that protagonist try to "find a recipe for healing". The star cast of the film includes Miriam Leone, Stefano Accorsi, Thomas Trabacchi, Mariano Pirrello among others.

Autumn Girl

This Netflix film is set in 1960s and revolves around a woman named Kalina Jedrusik who is an actor at the height of her popularity. She is married but she is not monogamous and in her words, she makes love to "whoever she wants." She is having an affair with a young singer and is often shamed and called "Polish Marilyn Monroe". Later she is banned from appearing on television and is forced to fight for her freedom. The film has been directed by Katarzyna Klimkiewicz and who also co-wrote the film with Patrycja Nowak. The female protagonist in the film has been played by Maria Debska.

Netflix is going to release Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao starrer Badhai Do. The film recently released in theatres and got much praise for its plot which has two non-heterosexual characters at the centre of it. Rajkummar Rao's gay police officer convinces Bhumi Pednekar's lesbian PT teacher to marry him so that they can get their families off their backs and live like roommates while have same-sex relationships with other people. The film will be available for streaming on Netflix from March 11, 2022.
