Upcoming Bollywood Sequel Films: Sequels and remakes are two of the most popular film genres in Bollywood, and there have been sequels to many of the industry's biggest hits. While many sequels failed to live up to the audience's expectations after the original film, some succeeded in receiving more acclaim and grossing more money.
Making a sequel to a masterpiece puts a lot of pressure on filmmakers to live up to the audience's expectations, and most of them have failed miserably. However, there have been individuals who have succeeded admirably. The cliffhanger left at the end of the previous film, as well as the manner in which it continues the script's legacy, are two factors that make a sequel film greater than the original.
Tanu Weds Manu, Dhoom, Don, Golmaal, Housefull, Race, Krrish, and Hera Pheri are just a few examples of popular sequels. The most recent of these is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which was released on May 20, and it sparked much speculation as to whether it would perform well at the box office or whether the public in general would enjoy it.
It was because the original film, Bhool Bhulaiyaaa, was one of the most popular horror drama films of all time. However, the total box office collection for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is currently Rs 156.76 crore. At the end of its third week, it is estimated to gross around Rs 175 crore. The film has proven to be a moneymaker for its makers, with substantial earnings generated from its worldwide theatrical release as well as the sale of satellite and digital rights.
