The 80th Golden Globe Awards was attended by Team RRR, and they did so in style. RRR received nominations in the 'Best Non-English Language Film' and 'Best Song' categories. The film created history by winning the Best Original Song for their foot-tapping number, Naatu Naatu. The lead actors, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, as well as director SS Rajamouli, all attended the awards ceremony.

Ram Charan's wife Upasana donned a traditional saree, embracing her love for the six yards of elegance. She wore a multicoloured saree with a lime green expanse and a pallu that was modelled after a bandhani. She accented the ethnic elegance of her outfit with a tiny bindi and styled it with a delicate pair of earrings. The couple is also expecting their first child together On her Instagram account, Upasana posted pictures from the event along with an emotional message.

Last month, the Konidela family members shared the pregnancy news. The statement read, "With the blessings of Shri Hanuman Ji we are delighted to share that Upasana and Ram Charan are expecting their first child with love and gratitude - Surekha and Chiranjeevi Konidela; Shobana and Anil Kamineni"

On January 11, India won its first-ever Golden Globe for the song Natu Natu from SS Rajamouli's RRR.

The film RRR was also a nominee for Best Picture—Non-English category. The historical drama Argentina, 1985 by Santiago Mitre won the best picture in a foreign language award, beating out the Telugu Blockbuster.
