Uorfi Responds To Influencer’s Controversial DM, Instagram Drama Unfolds

Social media personality and actor Uorfi Javed recently posted a video on Instagram showcasing her striking new outfit. The video garnered positive feedback from many celebrities, including her friend and fellow social media personality, Orry Awatramani, also known as Orry. Orry praised Uorfi's look with the comment "She ate," which Uorfi shared on her Instagram Stories.

Uorfi Javed Responds to Sufi Motiwala's Controversial Comment

However, a Reddit post has surfaced that highlights a controversial reaction from fashion influencer and commentator Sufi Motiwala. According to the post, Sufi made an unsavoury comment about Orry’s support for Uorfi. The Redditor accused Sufi of sending a derogatory message in response to Orry's praise, describing it as a "sadak chap" (roadside) comment. The Redditor criticised Sufi for allegedly favouring wealthy individuals while being dismissive of others who offer support.

On Thursday, Orry shared his admiration for Uorfi’s outfit on Instagram Stories. He praised her black dress with 3D butterfly art, describing it as "magic," and reposted Uorfi’s video with the comment, "Ngl (not going to lie), she ate." Uorfi responded positively, sharing Orry’s comment and adding, "Orry approved," along with red rose emojis. She also shared a screenshot of Orry's comment, saying, "F***ing love her."

The Reddit post included screenshots of Uorfi’s now-deleted Instagram Stories. Uorfi took to Instagram Stories to address the controversy. She suggested that Sufi's comments were influenced by class biases, stating, "Surname mein Ambani nahi hai toh Sufi Motiwala aise baat karega aapse" (If you don’t have Ambani in your surname, this is how Sufi will speak to you). 

She again posted a story writing, "So he was probably sending this reply to one of his friends, accidentally sent it to me only! Unfortunately for him, I was online at that time and I immediately took a screenshot :) "His ID wasn’t hacked; he got it back in just 2 minutes (translated from Hindi)" This statement reflected her frustration with the way Sufi reacted to the praise she received from Orry.

Another screenshot, which has since been deleted from Sufi's Instagram Stories, showed him claiming that he never meant to send the messages and would not communicate in that manner. In the alleged messages to Uorfi, Sufi reportedly wrote: "Uorfi, please answer my call. I didn’t send those messages. I genuinely have no intentions toward you. Please understand, I don’t use such language. I just got back into my account. Please, this could ruin me. I have never wished you any harm, Uorfi.”
