Twinkle Khanna Reveals Dimple Kapadia's Live-In Advice Before Marriage

Twinkle Khanna revealed that her mother, Dimple Kapadia, had a unique suggestion for her and Akshay Kumar before they decided to get married. Twinkle, who grew up in an unconventional household due to her mother's separation from the late actor Rajesh Khanna, shared the advice her mother gave when Kumar expressed his intention to marry her. She suggested that they should consider living together for two years before formalising their marriage.

Twinkle Khanna reminisced about how Dimple Kapadia had conveyed her perspective, noting, "I have been married. I’ve seen what it’s like", she said in reference to her tumultuous marriage with Rajesh Khanna.

Mela actor also shared her contemplation regarding the potential impact on her life had she grown up in a household where her parents resided together. She expressed that she often wonders if, perhaps, if her parents were together, she would have the same drive to constantly engage in work and pursuits. Probably not, she said as she reflected on her mother's remarkable ability to effectively manage various aspects of their lives as a single parent.

Masaba Gupta Reveals Neena Gupta Refused To Let Her Live-In

This comes from a conversation in which Masaba Gupta revealed that her mother, Neena Gupta, had not permitted her to live with her ex-husband. In an interview for Twinkle Khanna's Tweak India platform, Gupta shared that Neena had held herself responsible for their divorce because she had previously discouraged them from living together and instead encouraged them to get married if they wanted to live as a couple. 

Gupta further admitted that her decision to get married was primarily influenced by peer pressure; everyone in her social circle was getting married, and she feared being left behind.

 At the age of 28, Masaba Gupta divorced film producer Madhu Mantena following a marriage of approximately two years. This year, she entered into matrimony with actor Satyadeep Mishra after dating him for three years. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna exchanged their wedding vows in 2001.

Amidst the ongoing national debate surrounding live-in relationships and society's perceptions of them, the experiences shared by both actors shed light on the multifaceted nature of such arrangements. They illustrate that there is another facet to consider, where a live-in relationship can serve as a crucial and meaningful step in determining one's life partner.
