Popular Marvel character Daredevil is portrayed by actor Charlie Cox in Marvel Cinematic Universe's series Daredevil. The series follows the story of Matt Murdock (Cox), who is blind his childhood, and his journey of fighting criminals as a lawyer as well as a superhero. The series is created by Drew Goddard and stars Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D'Onofrio and Jon Bernthal among others. While the MCU series was earlier available on Netflix, it is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
The Umbrella Academy
Netflix original series The Umbrella Academy is based on American comic book series by the same name written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. The series follows the story of seven children adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves. The children grow up in "The Umbrella Academy" created by the billionaire as they train to control their special powers in order to, save the world some day. After the death of Reginald Hargreeves, the siblings go their separate ways only to reunite and save the world from doom while dealing with their personal traumas. Actors Aidan Gallagher, Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, Ritu Arya, Kate Walsh among others star in The Umbrella Academy.
Gotham
American superhero-drama series Gotham is based on the characters of Batman comic book series. The story revolves around famous detective James Gordon who is newly recruited to the city of crimes, Gotham, to investigate the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne. The detective gradually befriends the son of the victim couple, Bruce, who later becomes a vigilante to create a crime-free society. The series includes a cast of Ben McKenzie, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, Erin Richards, Donal Logue and others. Gotham is available on the streaming platform Netflix.
The Boys
Amazon Prime Video's The Boys is based on a comic book series by the same name written by Garth Ennis and co-created and illustrated by Darick Robertson. The series presents an unconventional view of superheroes where they pose of supervillains unlike the common conception of the idea. The Boys attempts to unveil the secrets of the superhero group Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate, which manages the superheroes and cover their dirty secrets. Actors Antony Starr, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Karen Fukuhara among others are seen in prominent roles in the anti-superhero series.
The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead is a post-apocalyptic series based on the comic book franchise by the same name helmed by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. After a devastating zombie apocalypse, the modern human civilisation has collapsed and the human survivors must work together to stay alive in a world with constant attacks from zombies, called the walkers. The cast include actors Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand and Jeffrey Dean Morgan among others.
