Once again a proud moment for Indians as another India-set documentary is nominated for the 96th Academy Awards in the Best Feature Documentary Film category. To Kill A Tiger is directed by Delhi-born Nisha Pahuja, also an Emmy-nominated filmmaker based in Toronto.
To Kill A Tiger is set in a small village of Jharkhand and navigates the story of Ranjit who is seeking justice for his 13-year-old daughter who was abducted and brutally gang-raped by three men in Jharkhand. But the battle for justice continues as the survivor's family grapples with the aftermath.
