Actor Kangana Ranaut's maiden production Tiku Weds Sheru's trailer was released and the Avneet Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer has sparked controversy.
The Tiku Weds Sheru trailer was released on June 14 and follows the relationship between two people hoping to make it big in Bollywood. Sheru (Siddiqui) is a junior artist Tiku (Kaur) is an aspiring actor and the two get married and plan on moving to Mumbai to kickstart their careers.
Tiku sees the marriage to Sheru as an opportunity to move to the city of dreams and fulfil her dreams of becoming a star.
The unconventional couple comes together and hustles together to achieve their goals.
The romantic drama and dark satire film will mark Ranaut's debut as a producer and Avneet Kaur's debut in Bollywood.

Tiku Weds Sheru Trailer
While netizens praised the acting in the ">trailer, the age difference between the actors has sparked debate. One clip showed Siddiqui and Kaur's characters kissing and people took to social media to express their disappointment with the 28-year age gap between the leads.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is 49 years old while Avneet Kaur turned 21 in October 2022. One netizen described the age gap as "nasty" and stated that Kaur was also "highly sexualised" in the Tiku Weds Sheru trailer.
Another netizen said that the kiss was the "last thing I wanted to see today" and said that while the film might justify the age gap, they were confused about how the scene would be justified.
Recently, the actor-turned-producer Kangana Ranaut spoke about Tiku Weds Sheru and revealed that the project started with director Sai Kabir, the late actor Irrfan Khan, and her. She said the film is about the "Bollywood dream" was initially going to star Khan and her in the lead roles.
