Three Finalists Of Miss India 2023
The 59th edition of India’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Femina Miss India 2023, was held at the indoor stadium in Manipur on Saturday. Nandini Gupta from Rajasthan won the esteemed title of Miss India 2023, while Shreya Poonja of Delhi was the first runner-up and Thounaojam Strela Luwang of Manipur was the second runner-up.

The star-studded event was judged by an elite panel: Neha Dhupia, Femina Miss India Universe 2002 and Mentor; Sarita Devi, a boxing icon; Terence Lewis, an ace choreographer; Director Harshavardhan Kulkarni; and designers Rocky Star and Namrata Joshipura. The event was hosted by Bhumi Pednekar and Maniesh Paul.

Nandini Gupta

Nandini Gupta, the newly crowned Miss India 2023, belongs to Kota, Rajastha. Gupta completed her schooling at St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School and is currently pursuing business management at Lala Lajpat Rai College. Global icon Priyanka Chopra has been Gupta’s inspiration to embark on the Miss India pageant journey. Gupta expressed exceptional organisational and hospitality skills from a very young age, and that motivated her to pursue a career in business management. The 19-year-old had dreamed of becoming Miss India since the age of 10 years. Initially, she aspired to the crown for its beauty, but as she grew older, she realised that it was much more than a crown.

As the crowned winner of Miss India 2023, Gupta has a long journey ahead. She will be representing India at international pageants and promoting the causes close to her heart. She has already become an inspiration for many young women who dream of winning the title.

Shreya Poonja

Shreya Poonja from Delhi emerged as the first runner-up of the Femina Miss India 2023 competition. Poonja is an economics graduate who is now pursuing her master's in finance. She has always been interested in extracurricular activities such as dance and sports. She knows a variety of dance styles, such as Kathak, jazz, and contemporary, and is also skilled in swimming, skating, and taekwondo.

Poonja was also the winner of the 2019 National Campus Princess Contest at the age of 19. She is a model and actor by profession and is associated with several national and international brands. She has also walked the ramp for fashion designers including Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lulla, and Raghavendra Rathore. Poonja's motto in life is to create a happy and remarkable life for herself and the people around her. She is also said to be courageous, compassionate, and creative.

Strela Thounaijam Luwang

Strela Thounaijam Luwang, the second runner-up in Femina Miss India 2023, belongs to Manipur. She pursues International Business Studies and aims to encourage child-friendly education systems. She was diagnosed with epilepsy at a young age and suffered from stress and anxiety due to being bullied. She is very vocal about mental health and believes mental health issues with regard to gender equality are a social cause. She defines herself as an "empathetic, compassionate, and deep thinker." She considers the late Princess Diana of Wales to be the most influential person in her life, and the actor Priyanka Chopra is her inspiration.
