Know All About Spooky Comedy 'The Virgin Tree' Starring Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari

In an interesting project announcement made today, an upcoming new horror-comedy film was declared on social media by its makers. Actor Sanjay Dutt, who ventured into production last year by setting up his company Three Dimension Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd, is all set to mark his debut as a producer with the new film titled The Virgin Tree also denoted as The वरGin Tree by the makers.

The Virgin Tree is an upcoming horror-comedy film featuring an ensemble cast including Mouni Roy and Palak Tiwari in prominent roles. According to the recent update, the shoot for the film has commenced and the date of release will soon be announced.

The Virgin Tree

The cast and crew of the film took to their social media to announce their upcoming project. Actor Mouni Roy shared the declaration teaser on her Instagram writing, "Mohabbat. Extremely excited about this one. Need your love and blessings. Presenting to you the first look." The video shared by the makers reveals a backdrop of an educational institute which is spooked and is a breeding ground for a tree of significance, with the title of the film also carrying the tree's prominence.

The cast of the film includes actors Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, Sunny Singh, Aasif Khan and Nikunj Lotia in prominent roles. The film is produced by Sanjay Dutt and Deepak Mukut of Soham Rockstar Entertainment. Dutt shared expressed his excitement on his Instagram and made the video announcement. "Love does teach how to turn a blind eye, even to life and death," he captioned. The film will be directed by Sidhaant Sachdev. Sachdev has also contributed to the writing of the film alongside writer Vanuksh Arora.

Mouni Roy was last seen in the film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, in which she played the role of Damyanti and garnered positive attention for her performance. Palak Tiwari who rose to fame with her music video Bijlee Bijlee opposite Harrdy Sandhu has presently signed a couple of other interesting projects well, with The Virgin Tree being added to her filmography. Apart from the upcoming horror comedy, Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame actor Sunny Singh will be seen playing the role of Lakshman in the Kriti-Sanon-Prabhas starrer Adipurush. Another addition to the cast, Aasif Khan's career trajectory across OTT has been greatly appreciated with his performances in shows like Mirzapur, Paatal Lok and Jamtara to name a few. The film also marks the launch of YouTuber Nikunj Lotia popularly known as BeYouNick.
