Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal Releases Second Film, The Underbug First Look

Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha, who got married last year, have now collaborated together as executive producers to produce a new project. For their most recent project, The Underdog, Ali Fazal plays the lead in it. The film is marketed as a psychological horror thriller.

The Underbug, a new project by Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, has received an official announcement. The first first poster has been released. Those who enjoy horror dramas should find them dark and eerie.

The film received a positive reception at the Slamdance Film Festival in Los Angeles, according to Chadha, who was present to see it happen. She added, " Being able to represent Indian cinema on such a significant international stage made us feel especially proud. The global audience for Indian movies is expanding, which is great for the movie industry. Since this genre has a very specific audience, movies in it can be tricky, but the fact that this one received such a positive reception kind of says it all."

The Underbug First Look

Fazal claimed that he is emotionally and physically invested in The Underbug. He continued, "The film was produced under very challenging circumstances. Since it was the movie's first screening, it also came with additional responsibilities. However, the positive initial reviews gave us a lot of confidence."

During the COVID-19-induced lockdowns in late 2020, the movie, which centres around two characters who seek refuge in an abandoned house, was filmed in rural Maharashtra. Shujaat Saudagar, Abbas Dalal, and Hussain Dalal wrote the screenplay for the film. Vikesh Bhutani, Shujaat Saudagar, and Aman Mann are the producers. Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Abbas Dalal, and Hussain Dalal are the executive producers.

Following Shuchi Talati's Girls Will Be Girls, The Underbug is the couple's second production under the name Pushing Buttons Studios.

Richa Chadha's first movie following her marriage to Ali Fazal will be Fukrey 3. The new posters for the upcoming crime comedy has been released. The original cast members Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma, and Pulkit Samrat will all make a comeback in the movie. Ali Fazal, a significant character in the series, is absent from Fukrey 3, though.
