The Great Indian Murder: What You Must Know Before Watching This Murder Mystery

The Great Indian Murder, a series featuring Richa Chadha, Pratik Gandhi, Ashutosh Raina by director Tigmanshu Dhulia has released its trailer on social media. The series has also announced the date of its release. 

The murder mystery explores different versions of the same murder case and the trailer seems to have impressed a lot of audiences on the social media platform. The movie has been adopted by the author who wrote Slumdog Millionaire. 

The Great Indian Murder: 10 Things To Know 

1. It is based on the book Six Suspect by writer and retired Indian diplomat Vikas Swarup. He was part of Indian Foreign Services and retired as Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs.

2. The trailer was released by the OTT platform on the YouTube channel on January 18, 2022. The video has been already viewed by 1.3 million users within three hours.

3. The series has Richa Chadha and Pratik Gandhi in the lead roles. Richa is seen to be playing Sudha Bhardwaj who will essay the role of the investigating officer. Pratik Gandhi of Scam 1992 fame will be playing the role of Suraj Yadav, an officer of the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI). 

4. The cast of the saga includes- Ashutosh Rana, Shashank Arora, Paoli Dam, Raghubir Yadav, Jatin Goswami.

5. It has been directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia- the actor, producer, director, writer known for his movies like Paan Singh Tomar, Sahab Biwi Aur Gangster, and series like Tandav and Rangbaaz.

6. The Great Indian Murder has been produced by actor and director Ajay Devgn and Priti Vinay Sinha under the banner ADF and RLE Media. 

7. The episodes will start streaming from February 4, 2022, on Disney+Hotstar as is it part of the Hotstar Special series.

8. Ashutosh Rana seems to be playing an influential politician in the series, who is demanding CBI enquiry for his son Vicky Rai. 

9. The trailer offers the audience thrilling factors- the Naxalite angle to the political events, the issues of sexual assault after the death of the accused, and many more.
