It was produced by Steve Yockey and is based on Chris Bohjalian's novel of the same name, which was published in 2018. Before we get into season 2 updates and release dates, let's take a look at what's happened so far in season 1.
Cassie Bowden, an American flight attendant, is a rogue alcoholic who drinks on planes and spends her time having sex with strangers, including her fellow passengers. When she wakes up in a Bangkok hotel room with a hangover from the night before, she discovers the dead body of a passenger from her previous trip, his throat slit, lying next to her.
She cleans up the crime scene instead of calling the cops, then joins the rest of the airline workers on their way to the airport. She is met by Federal Bureau of Investigation officials in New York City, who ask her about her layover in Bangkok. She begins to ponder who the killer could be, as she is still unable to piece the night together and is experiencing sporadic flashbacks and hallucinations about it.
It premiered on HBO Max on November 26, 2020, with Kaley Cuoco in the lead role. The first season consisted of eight episodes.

The Flight Attendant Season 2:
On April 4, the first trailer for the second season was published, revealing what Cassie will be up to in season two. In the official trailer, which is jam-packed with action, Cassie navigates her new life alcohol-free as well as a new city (Berlin) in the official trailer. She's also taken up a job working for the CIA. We also get our first look at Sharon Stone, who plays Cassie's mother, near the end of the clip.
Cuoco teased that the second season will be "exciting and possibly a little crazy," while HBO stated that Cassie will embark on a "new adventure." Season 2 will be like "a new Hitchcock movie for Cassie to wander into," according to showrunner Steve Yockey.
According to Cuoco, who first teased the upcoming series, Cassie will be trying to get sober and focus on the CIA's new interest in her, "She's absolutely going to be attempting to live a sober life while still trying to be who she was," she said in an interview with Variety in August 2021.
The Flight Attendant Season 2 Release date:
The sitcom was renewed for a second season in December 2020, with a premiere date of April 21, 2022.
