The Crown season 5: The official Twitter account of the reality-based show The Crown revealed its first look from its 5th season, confirming Elizabeth Debicki playing the role of Princess Diana and Dominic West playing Prince Charles.
Debicki and West will take over the actors Emma Corrin and Josh O’Connor, respectively, who essayed the roles in the fourth season of the show.

Debicki wrote in an earlier statement, "Princess Diana’s spirit, her words and her actions live in the hearts of so many. It is my true privilege and honour to be joining this masterful series, which has had me absolutely hooked from Episode One."
Earlier, the makers revealed that Queen Elizabeth II's character will be played by Imelda Staunton in the fifth season.
Elizabeth Debicki As Princess Diana In The Crown Season 5
Debicki is known for her role in the movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby. The French-born, Australian actor mentioned in an interview that she remembered who Princess Diana was even at the age of 7, even though she had no impact on her life as a child growing up in Australia.
Debicki said in an interview with Gotham magazine that Diana was like a symbol who existed and still exists in the minds of people. The actor also revealed that her mother followed Princess Diana “quite intimately” as she represented something extremely human and extremely symbolic.
As of now, Debicki has appeared in films like Guardians of the Galaxy Volume One and Two, The Cloverfield Paradox, Tenet, Vita Virginia and Widows, among others. Read more about Elizabeth Debicki here.
