The Archies, the much-awaited big debut of star kids Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda is just around the corner.
The project helmed by Zoya Akhtar is an adaptation of the eponymous novel where Riverdale and Riverdale High School serve as the backdrop for the story of Archie Andrews and his band of friends.
Billed as a musical set in the 60s, The Archies began production last year in April.

Earlier today, a new poster was shared by the team featuring the cast. Suhana plays the diva, Veronica, Khushi would be seen as the girl-next-door Betty, and Agastya plays the titular lead, who is torn between love and friends. Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda play the other gang members designed around Reggie, Jughead, Dilton and Ethel.
The new poster comes at the heels of the ‘coming soon announcement’ shared on Sunday with a light aircraft flying atop the Gateway of India in Mumbai
A few days ago, it was revealed that the cast of The Archies will be heading to Brazil for the Netflix TUDUM event.
Zoya Akhtar had earlier said that the comic has been part of her childhood and teenage years. “I am super excited to have the chance to bring The Archies to life. It was a large part of my childhood and teenage years. The characters are iconic and globally loved, which is also why I am a little nervous. I have to make sure the film stokes the nostalgia of a generation that grew up on the comic and yet resonates with the young adults today,” Akhtar had said in a statement.
