The film Thank God, starring Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh, got into new trouble in Karnataka after Uttar Pradesh (UP) when a complaint was filed against the actors and director Indra Kumar for allegedly hurting religious sensibilities. The movie's premiere is set for October 25.
In the film, Thank God, Rakul Preet Singh plays Sidharth Malhotra's police wife. After Malhotra's character has passed away, he meets Chitragupt, a Hindu god, who is then given an overview of his lifetime actions.
On September 9, the movie's trailer was made available. In the Thank God trailer, Lord Chitragupt, who determines everyone's crimes and merits after death, and Lord Yama, who takes one's soul after death, are seen in modern clothing. In Karnataka, the Hindu Janajagruti Samithi has now objected to the movie's trailer.
Thank God In Legal Trouble:
Speaking for Hindu Janajagruti Samithi, Mohan Gowda said, "In the trailer, actors were seen making fun of Hindu gods. We will never accept mocking Lord Yama and Chitragupt, two Hindu gods, in the name of free speech. Was the censorship board asleep until the release of this trailer?"
The organisation has urged the Censor Board to refuse to certify the movie. Additionally, they stated that the film should be outlawed by the State and Central Home Ministries since it has offended religious emotions. They also warned that they would protest in public.

Lawyer Himanshu Srivastava has also filed a complaint in a Jaunpur court against the filmmaker Indra Kumar and the actors Ajay Devgn and Sidhartha Malhotra. On November 18, the petitioner's statement will be taken down.
The film's newly released trailer, according to the petitioner, mocks religion and has insulted religious sensibilities. In his argument, Srivastava claimed that Ajay Devgn, who plays the part of Chitragupt and wears a suit, can be seen making jokes and using profanity in one scene. "Chitragupt, the ruler of karma, keeps a record of each person's positive and negative deeds. Since they insult religious sensibilities, such portrayals of God may result in terrible circumstances," the petition stated.
