"Thalapathy 67" Titled Leo - Bloody Sweet: Trailer, Cast, Release Details Inside

The title of actor Vijay's much-anticipated Thalapathy 67 has been revealed by the makers, Seven Screen Studios, along with a promo on Friday.

The film has garnered a lot of attention among audiences for various reasons, the main being that it is speculated to be a part of the Loki cinematic universe (LCU). Finally, the official title of the film has been revealed to be Leo - Bloody Sweet. The action-thriller is directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj and bankrolled by Seven Screen Studios.

Sharing the title reveal promo for Leo on Twitter, the makers wrote, "We are as excited as you are. With all your love and support, we are happy to present you with the title of Thalapathy 67."

Vijay is seen sporting a fierce and menacing look. The ">promo is similar to that of Vikram's title reveal promo. In Vikram, Kamal Hassan will be shown preparing south Indian meals while Leo shows Vijay preparing varieties of chocolates. The chocolate-making sequence is intercut with Vijay making a sword.

Towards the end of the promo, a battalion of cars is shown approaching Vijay's place. Vijay is shown standing prepared, wielding a sword dripping with chocolate.

The background music composed by Anirudh Ravichandran was incredible and elevated the promo. The short promo lasted less than three minutes long but was absolutely stunning and tripled the expectations for the film.

The striking similarities between the promos of both films have fueled speculation that Leo: Bloody Sweet will be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). However, the team hasn't made any official announcements yet.

Overall, the promo promises an enthralling action thriller. It was an absolute visual treat for Lokesh Kanakaraj and Vijay fans.

Leo Cast

Over the last couple of days, the makers have been revealing the cast one by one. Vijay plays the protagonist, and Trisha Krishnan will play the female lead. The cast also includes Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Priya Anand, Sanjay Dutt, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, and dance choreographer Sandy. Kaithi fame Actor George Marian was spotted at Thalapathy 67's pooja, and Vikram star Vasanthy (Agent Tina) was spotted travelling with the crew to shoot their Kashmir schedule.

Leo Release Date

Leo: Bloody Sweet is scheduled to release on October 19, 2023. It will coincide with Diwali, doubling up the celebration for the audience.
