Actor Vijay’s Thalapathy 67 garnered a lot of attention since Monday, when director Lokesh Kanakaraj shared a poster of himself and the actor recreating the "master" pose, symbolising their next collaboration.
The much-anticipated Thalapathy 67, Vijay’s 67th film, will be directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj. The film will be the duo’s second collaboration after the blockbuster hit Master. The makers of the film have been keeping the audience excited by revealing back-to-back updates about the film.
Seven Screen Studios announced on Twitter on Wednesday evening that the pooja ">video of Thalapathy 67 has been released on Sony Music South's Youtube Channel.
Thalapathy 67 Updates
On Tuesday, the cast of Thalapathy was revealed one by one on the makers' Twitter handle. The cast will include actor Action King Arjun, director Gautam Vasudev Menon, Choreographer Sandy, actors Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, director Mysskin, actor Sanjay Dutt, and Priya Anand.
According to latest updates from the makers on Wednesday, actor Trisha Krishnan is indeed playing the female lead in Thalapathy 67. “Grateful to be part of this iconic project featuring some of my favourite people and immensely talented team. Exciting times ahead,” said the Ponniyin Selvan actor. This is the fifth collaboration of Trisha Krishnan with actor Vijay. Fans are going gaga over the announcement as the most-loved on screen pair will be seen together after 14 years.
"Boarding a mighty ship (T67) navigated and commanded by a fantabulous captain (LK). Time to Roarrrr!" said actor Arjun, announcing his role in T67.
"Rubbing shoulders with the best in the industry, except this time in front of the camera," director Gautham Vasudev Menon said. "Happy to be a part of T67," added the director.
"When I heard the one-liner of Thalapathy 67, I knew in that exact moment I had to be a part of this film, and I’m thrilled to start this journey," commented Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.
The cast and crew of Thalapathy 67 were flying to Jammu and Kashmir for their next schedule of shoots on Tuesday. Some fans even posted a photo of the passenger manifest for the flight on which the T67 team was flying.
Kaithi fame actor George Maryan was spotted in the pooja of Thalapathy 67. Vikram fame Agent Tine, actor Vasanthy was seen travelling with the Leo team to shoot their Kashmir schedule.
The makers, Seven Screen Studios, released an official press release on Monday stating that their next venture will be with Vijay. The project is tentatively titled Thalapathy 67. According to the press release, the shoot commenced on January 2, 2023.
The movie is speculated to be a part of the Loki Cinematic Universe (LCU), which consists of the movies Vikram and Kaithi, two of director Lokesh Kanakaraj’s previous films that had a connection. The director, however, dismissed the speculation as rumours, stating that Thalapathy 67 will be a stand-alone gangster film. Still, fans are continuing to make speculations as the title poster allegedly seems to read LCU when seen upside down.
