Thalaivi trailer launch: Actor Kangana Ranaut will be releasing the trailer of her much-anticipated movie Thalaivi on March 23, 2021, which  is also the actor's birthday.

It is a biopic based on the life of the actor-turned-politician J. Jayalalithaa. The trailer will be releasing in Chennai and Mumbai on the same day. He said, "Thalaivi reflects the life of an inspirational icon for millions and it is a fundamental duty to do justice to the stature of the legend, hence we wanted to launch the trailer on a large scale." He further added, "Jaya madam is not just an idol for the people of Tamil Nadu but a renowned personality across the nation, so we decided to launch the trailer across Chennai and Mumbai. Kangana Ji is a remarkable actor who slips into every character with the utmost ease. For Thalaivi, She has adipate the absolute mannerisms of Jaya madam that the character demanded."
2. Thalaivi is based on the life of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa, the legendary actor-turned-politician. The film essays how she struggled in the entertainment industry and rose to stardom. It then portrays her journey as one of the most powerful and iconic politicians India has ever witnessed.
3. The movie is presented by Vibri Motion pictures, Karma Media Entertainment and Zee Studios in association with Gothic Entertainment and Sprint films. It is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R. Singh. Hitesh Thakkar and Thirumal Reddy have co-produced the film.
4. The makers announced the release date of the film on the birth anniversary of the late politician, that is, Feb 24. The movie will release in theatres on April 23 this year.
