Who Is Tessa Farrell? Johnny Wactor's Ex-Fiancé Posts Emotional Tribute

After actor Johnny Wactor was fatally shot on May 25 in Los Angeles, California, at a robbery scene shielding his co-worker from gunmen. His ex-fiancé Tessa Farrell has now posted an emotional video, speaking about the incident.

The cost of lives and loss to gun violence can be evidently seen in a recent video posted by filmmaker and actor Tessa Farrell after the death of her ex-fiancé and "best friend" Johhny Wactor who was fatally shot by gunmen on May 25 around 3:25 am in downtown Los Angeles in California, US.

37-year-old Johnny Wactor, who was famous for the soap opera General Hospital, was with a female colleague when he noticed three masked men tampering with a car, trying to steal its catalytic converter. When Wactor went to the suspect and reportedly tried to peacefully talk to them, a gunman shot him as he shielded the woman with him. While the woman survived, Wactor succumbed to his injuries. The suspects are yet not arrested.

Devastated by the loss of the rising actor, 34-year-old Tessa Farrel took to social media to magnify the intensity of the impact of the death of her good friend and ex-fiancé. Farrell condemned Wactor's killers. She can be seen having an emotional breakdown as she talks about Wactor, and the survivor of the crime, and urges the community to be "smarter" as she says to the murderers, "If you are watching this, I am sorry but you shot the wrong guy."

In the video posted on Instagram with the hashtag #justiceforjohnny, Farrell can be seen blasting the suspects as she says, "You can get a real job. I know the job market’s hard but we’re all in it together. You don’t have to steal, especially take a life over it."

Farrell also highlighted the dangers of such criminals walking loose on the streets as it can happen to someone else without "these (criminal) people paying repercussions of it" as she urged people as a community to be "smarter" against these crimes and "loving" towards each other, she also highlighted the dire need of stricter laws in California. 

Farrell also talked about the surviving woman from the crime scene as she said, "I am so sorry you’re in this situation." She added, "I can’t even imagine what it’s like to have been the one right there. You must be so scared and so sad. But if you need someone to talk to, you can talk to me" highlighting the trauma people who endure crime must go through.

Grieving Farrell in her caption pulled a poll on stricter crimes for California as she asked people to vote Yes/No and urged everyone watching her video to donate for Wactor's family for his funeral rites. 

Who Is Tessa Farrell?

The 34-year-old American actor, screenwriter and filmmaker is known as the inventor behind the original film Cinema Legend. Hailing from Arizona, Farrell is seen in many magazine covers, advertisements, and movies like The Madness Within, Diamond, and The First Born and in the 2023 series Barbee Rehab, while the filmmaker said she is working on a project and "her own film". 

As the actor spoke up about facing several incidents of sexual harassment by producers and managers, she faced a tough time which prompted the actor to shift gears and adapt to screenwriting. 

Farrell and Wactor reportedly met in 2013 and dated for several years and even got engaged but "ultimately let each other go romantically" Farrell describes: "It was rushed. We were too young and kids and healing" as she shared how they used her grandparents' rings who were happily married for 50 years and how she still cannot take it off. 

Farell described how after the breakup Wactor "found sobriety" and shared how they still remained friends and spectated each other grow as she watched him shoot some scenes from General Hospital and called him a "rising star" and the "brightest soul" who would light up everything around and described how even as a friend Wactor was "distracting" and she did not meet him for few years as she needed to focus on her upcoming film, giving glimpses of the bond they shared.

Wactor would be next seen in the 2025 thriller action F*** Marry Kill while Farrell's upcoming projects are yet not officially announced.
