Tanushree Dutta is an Indian actor and model who grabbed headlines after she alleged sexual misconduct against actor Nana Patekar during the #MeToo Movement in India. Her revelation encouraged many other women in and outside of the industry to express their tales and tribulations to the world as well. Recently, Dutta took to her Instagram to express her displeasure on her Wikipedia profile description online.

On January 16, Tanushree Dutta posted a picture of her on Instagram with the caption, "Hey Guys...there's something that's been bothering me for a while. It's the Wikipedia profile on me." Dutta went on to describe what she finds incorrect in the description.

1. Tanushree Dutta's Wikipedia profile description describes her as an Indian model while she is an actor as well a former recipient of Miss India Universe.
2. Dutta thought that her profile is diminishing her achievements and 'credentials'.
3. Tanushree was upset that she could not edit her Wikipedia profile either.
4. Dutta thinks that her profile is 'weird' as it does not give correct and complete information about her contribution to the industry because that is the thing people look for when the Google artists.
5. It bothers her that after doing so much work in the industry, she was still not able to receive a correct and 'uplifting' Wikipedia description.

Tanushree, in the Instagram post, also asked her fans to help edit her profile description on Wikipedia. Seems like her fans have shown their loyalty towards the actor as Tanushree Dutta's Wikipedia description has changed. The online encyclopedia website allows public to edit the profile and in the edit history, it is visible that there were some changes made on January 16 and January 17 after Dutta's Instagram post.

Tanushree Dutta acted in films like Ashiq Banaya Aapne, Raqeeb etc. and was quite the sensation in early 2000s in Bollywood, In 2018 during an interview she revealed that she was allegedly sexually molested and intimidated by none other than actor Nana Patekar. The two were working on a film named Horn OK Please for which Dutta was going to dance on a song.
