Tamannaah, currently engaged in promotional activities for Jee Karda, discussed her views on marriage during a recent interview. Amid ongoing speculation about her relationship with Vijay Varma, she referred to him as her "happy place." Varma, in a separate interview, expressed that he is happy too.

Tamannaah acknowledged that she used to envision completing her work and getting married, along with having children, by the age of 30. However, she emphasised that marriage should not be undertaken simply because others are doing it. According to her, marriage entails significant effort and responsibility that should be embraced when one is truly ready.

Tamannaah On Marriage

In a conversation with India Today, Tamannaah expressed her thoughts on whether she feels pressured to get married and settle down.

She believes that individuals should only get married when they genuinely desire to do so. According to her, marriage is a substantial responsibility that demands effort, similar to taking care of plants, owning pets, or raising children. Hence, she suggests that people should undertake this responsibility when they are genuinely prepared and comprehend its significance, rather than feeling pressured by societal norms or the actions of others.

She further said that when she began her career years ago, there was a prevailing belief that a female actor's professional lifespan was limited to around 8–10 years. Based on that notion, she did some calculations and assumed that by the age of 30, she would have completed her work, gotten married, and had two children.

However, when she actually reached the age of 30, she had a realisation. She felt as if she were just starting anew, experiencing a rebirth of sorts, like a brand-new baby. She realised that today's generation has the freedom to make choices that align with their preferences and evoke specific emotions. Unlike the previous generation, which followed the societal expectation of getting married at a certain age, she recognised that, as a woman, there are no significant limitations apart from the biological aspect.

It was at the age of 30 that she truly discovered her own ideas and perspectives, which she now realises were influenced by people around her rather than being truly her own.

Tamannaah Embracing Authenticity in Marriage Choices

Tamannaah's own journey aligns with the importance of following one's true self rather than conforming to societal expectations. Her story serves as a reminder that each person's path is unique and that following societal expectations without considering personal desires can lead to unhappiness. By listening to and honouring their true selves, individuals can forge their own destinies, find fulfilment, and build genuine connections that are based on authenticity rather than external pressures.

Ultimately, Tamannaah's journey exemplifies the importance of staying true to oneself and making choices that align with personal values, aspirations, and happiness, regardless of societal expectations surrounding marriage or any other aspect of life.

Tamannaah's most recent series, Jee Karda, was released on Thursday. Following this, her upcoming project is Netflix's Lust Stories 2, where she will be seen alongside Vijay Varma, marking their first collaboration on screen.
