Arjun Kapoor-Tabu Starrer Thriller Kuttey To Release Next Year

The makers announced Kuttey to premiere in theatres on January 13, 2023, and will star Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, and Naseeruddin Shah. Producer Vishal Bhardwaj's son, Aasmaan Bhardwaj makes his directorial debut with the movie.

The official handle of Vishal Bhardwaj Films wrote on Instagram, "Bring in the New Year with 'Kuttey', releasing in cinemas on 13th January, 2023." The film stars Tabu and Arjun Kapoor in lead role and also stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Radhika Madan, Kumud Mishra, and Shardul Bhardwaj.

The movie's screenplay is co-written by Vishal Bhardwaj and Aasmaan Bhardwaj, who also did the music. The lyrics were written by Gulzar, a frequent working partner of Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is presented by T-Series, which is run by Gulshan and Bhushan Kumar. The film is produced by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg, and Rekha Bhardwaj.

Vishal Bhardwaj previously opened up in a statement about producing the film with his son, Aasmaan. The director expressed his excitement for what Aasmaan will be able to accomplish with Kuttey, noting that it is his first time working with the actor. The director is very excited about this collaboration between Luv Films and Vishal Bhardwaj Films because he admires Luv's willingness to take risks and shrewd business judgement.

On various films throughout his career, the director has collaborated with Shah, Tabu, Konkona Sen, and Madan. He also added that Aasmaan had brought the cast together in a single film and they are eager for the public to view this suspenseful thriller on the big screen.

Bhardwaj has worked with Madan in Pataakha (2018), with Sen in Ek Thi Daayan (2013) and Omkara (2006), with Tabu in Maqbool (2003), and Haider (2014). Both will also work together for their upcoming film Khufiya, which will directly release on OTT platform, Netflix.

The spy-thriller film Khufiya, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is based on real-life events. It is written by Bhardwaj himself and stars Tabu and Ali Fazal as the novel's leading couple. Khufiya, which is based on Amar Bhushan's espionage book Escape to Nowhere, will show the struggle of a RAW agent attempting to safeguard her nation's defence secrets.
