Taapsee Pannu Starrer 'Rashmi Rocket' Trailer Released

Rashmi Rocket trailer: Taapsee Pannu starrer Rashmi Rocket released its trailer on Thursday. The actor had earlier revealed that the film will release on October 15 this year on OTT platform.

The film has been directed by Akarsh Khurana and its narrates the sports journey of a village girl from Gujarat who establishes her name among sprinters. Taapsee Pannu will be seen playing the lead role and Priyanshu Painyuli will offer significant support to the plot. The film's story has been written by Nanda Periyasamy which was later converted tp screeplay by Aniruddha Guha.

As seen in the trailer, the film is inspired by the struggles of female athletes in India. Pannu's character even after being a top performer ends up fighting for her right to run on the field because she fails a hormone test. Supriya Pathak is playing the role of Pannu's mother in the mother. The trailer gave glimpses of court room drama.

Taapsee Pannu posted on her social media, "Get ready to run with Rashmi in this race on and off the track. She will need you in this one #RashmiRocket ready to take off on 15th October 2021…"

The actor has shared many glimpses of her physical transformation during the course of film's shooting. Pannu had to train like a sportsperson and build muscles. Her diet was also adjusted according to the character's needs. The picture of her back muscles recently received problematic comments by social media users as they said that Pannu looks like a man but the actor did not take it as an insult.

The actor has revealed that it took her one month to be able to lift heavyweights. She had also suffered injury during the film's shooting. She said, "My trainer was worried about how we will make her look like a sprinter with strong muscles built over years. But all of us were here for a challenge."

Taapsee Pannu was recently seen in a film titled Annabelle Sethupathi which received many negative reviews by the viewers. She is going to shoot her first film as a producer titled Blurr. The film will feature Gulshan Devaiah and her in lead roles. Pannu also has Shabaash Mithu and Looop Lapeta in the pipeline.
