Taapsee Pannu Shabaash Mithu: Actor Taapsee Pannu took to Instagram to share the latest sneak peek from the sets of her upcoming film Shabaash Mithu which is going to tell the story of the Indian Women's Cricket Team captain Mithali Raj.
The actor was seen practising in the net as she maintained her stance as a batsman. The photograph has been clicked by a photographer named Manpreet. Pannu in the picture caption quoted former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. He caption read, " People throw stones at you and convert them into milestones- Sachin Tendulkar" She used hashtags #GetOnWithIt, #EyeOnTheTarget along with the film's hashtag and Mithali Raj.
The caption can be seen as Pannu's reply to the recent Income Tax Department raid at her house which she had earlier called an attempt to silence her. The actor had under the IT department's scrutiny as the agency claimed that the retrieved a Rs 5 crore cash receipt from Pannu's house. The agency had raised concerns over the legitimacy of the cash receipts.
Pannu's home was raided along with director Anurag Kashyap's place and his office. Other members of the now-dissolved production house Phantom Pictures were also raided. Pannu's boyfriend and badminton coach Mathias Boe had taken to Twitter to request sports minister Kiren Rijuju for support as he said that the IT raids had Pannu's family worried. Taapsee Pannu is going to play the role of cricketer Mithali Raj in the film Shabaash Mithu. The film is being directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Ajit Andhare. The release date is not confirmed yet but the film is expecting to hit the theatres sometime this year.
