"Ek tha Raja, ek thi Rani, hui shuru ek khooni prem kahani. #HaseenDillruba #TheUltimateKaunspiracy," wrote Pannu on Friday morning sharing the intriguing trailer on her social media. The murder mystery, which also stars Sanam Teri Kasam actor Harshvardhan Rane in a key role, is slated to see a digital release on Netflix. The film is directed by Vinil Mathew and written by Kanika Dhillon.

Pannu had earlier dropped a few hints about her character Rani Kashyap. The trailer shows how the lead will face stereotypical challenges after the wedding. Posturing in a much-powerful avatar, she is looking every inch the femme fatale, agreeing that she was looking for a husband with a sense of humour, who is dashing, naughty and sometimes even passionate. Enters Harshvardhan Rane, stirring the newly-married couple's life into a whole another tangent. The trailer unfolds a rather complicated storyline from there.

The writer Dhillon, who is famous for films like Manmarziyan, Kedarnath, Judgemental Hai Kya and Guilty, is now all set and excited for her next Netflix film, Haseen Dillruba. On Instagram, Dhillon said the film will mark her third outing with Pannu. Producer Aanand L Rai had previously said in a statement that the film is a murder mystery within a twisted love story. Last year, the Thappad actor had shared a picture from her last day on the sets of the film along with a note in which she had called her character a “self obsessed borderline narcissist”. Read all about it here.

In 2021, Pannu has a series of films lined up such as Rashmi Rocket, Shabaash Mithu and Looop Lapeta.
