Sweet Magnolias Facts: Sweet Magnolias is an American romance-drama show which follows the story of three South Carolina women best friends, who help each other course through the complexities of romance, career and life. The show has amassed popularity for its engaging plot, interesting characters, as well as realistic everyday life issues that the characters deal with. The show cast includes actors JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliot and Heather Headley in the lead roles along with Logan Allen, Anneliese Judge, Carson Rowland, Justin Bruening and Jamie Lynn Spears among others. Sweet Magnolias is based on Sheryl Woods' novels by the same name. It is created by Sheryl J. Anderson and is filmed primarily in Georgia where the popular drama series Vampire Diaries had also been shot.

- The exterior of the Corner Spa is actually a law firm called Craig Law located in Covington, Georgia.
- Cason Rowland, who plays Tyler 'Ty' Townsend is a former baseball player. Creator Sheryl J. Anderson remarked that it was required that his character should be good at baseball, it was a plus point that Rowland played the sport during his high school days.
- Most of the cast members made their onscreen debut with Sweet Magnolias including actors Annaliese Judge, Chris Medlin and Harlan Drum.
- There was only one chemistry read before filming between the characters Helen (Heather Headley) and Ryan (Michael Shenefelt).
- The popular margaritas of Sweet Magnolias are actually non-alcoholic. Headley said in an interview, "I’m not a drinker—I don’t drink—but so many women have written to me to say, ‘I’m having Magnolia nights or sweet-tea nights."
- The makers of the show had a food stylist on the sets to bring authenticity to the storyline. Anderson remarked that food was one of the love languages on the show since it is an integral part of the Southern culture. "We had a chef come in, not only as our food stylist, but to help our actors look like well-trained chefs and staff, particularly with knife skills, "she mentioned.
- The intense heat of Georgia posed as a major challenge while filming the show. The props team had to carry an extra cart just for sunscreens and bug sprays. Even the crafts service team had to provide water in between takes regularly.
- The clothes on the show were deliberately relatable since Anderson wanted the women to come from real spaces instead of including the high-end fashion from New York. "It was really important to me that we see real women in real spaces, so all our designers leaned into that." She remarked.
- While scouting a Church location, the team came across Oakhurst Presbyterian and Anderson knew that she had found the right place for the fictional Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She mentioned that the Black and White Jesuses were painted to commemorate that it was the first integrated church in the area.
- Sweet Magnolias is based on the 11-part novel series by Sheryl Woods. However, there are some major differences between the novels and the TV adaptation, including the car accident that was featured in the end of season 1.
