Swastika Mukherjee Accuses Film Producer Of Sexual Harassment

Swastika Mukherjee recently accused Sandeep Sarkar, a film producer, of threatening her. The performer, who was most recently seen in Qala, revealed that the producer of her new film, Shibpur, sent her threatening emails.

Swastika Mukherjee has done more than make a name for herself in the Bollywood industry. However, it is a name to remember in Bengali cinema as well. The performer, who is awaiting the release of her upcoming film, Shibpur, levelled serious allegations against the film's producer, Sandeep Sarkar.

Swastika Mukherjee Accuses Film Producer Of Sexual Harassment

The actor claimed that she got threatening emails from Sarkar and his associates to "cooperate" with them ahead of the release of the Bengali film Shibpur in theatres on May 5. She went on to say that they also claimed to have her morphed "nude" pictures, which they threatened to leak on pornography websites.

In an interview with OTT Play, the star discussed her traumatic incident. She told the story of her harassment and how she was threatened with being taken to the Police Commissioner during the filming of the upcoming film.

Mukherjee explained that it all happened quite by chance, as she had never met Sandeep Sarkar during the entire shooting and dubbing process. Ajanta Sinha Roy, another co-producer, communicated with her team. However, Sarkar abruptly began sending her threatening emails. He claimed to be an American citizen and said that if she did not 'cooperate' with them, he would contact the US Consulate and prevent her from gaining a US visa.

He also threatened to drag her in front of the Police Commissioner, the Chief Minister, and others, according to her. She claimed to have no idea what this 'cooperation' entails. A threatening email was sent to both the actor and her manager by a man named Ravish Sharma, who claimed to be a friend of Sandeep Sarkar.

According to her, Sharma claimed to be a 'brilliant' computer hacker. He stated that he would morph her photos and send them to pornographic websites. Along with the email, he sent two of her morphed and naked images.

The actor admitted that the only reason she didn't bring up the story in public was that she wanted the film's release to go smoothly. But, as the incidents progressed, she was forced to speak to the media about them.
