Sushmita Sen breakup rumours: Amid buzz of a breakup with her beau Rohman Shawl, actor and model Sushmita Sen in a social media post addressed the reports, putting an end to the speculation. "The relationship was long over," the 46-year-old says, with a caveat - "the love remains."

Alongside an all-smiles picture of the couple, Sen wrote Shawl and her began as friends and remain friends. The hashtags 'no more speculation,' 'live and let live' and 'cherished memories' accompanied the post.

Sen's post comes in the wake of reports on Thursday, first published by ETimes citing a source, that claimed Sen and Shawl had parted ways after three years together. Rumours of a breakup between the couple, which shares a 15-year age gap, had surfaced earlier this year in February when Sen shared a post referring to walking out of futile relationships. The couple's outings in the city in days following the breakup rumours were taken as confirmation that they were still together.

Shawl was living with Sen and her daughters, Renee and Alisah, at their residence. Reports suggest he moved out after the breakup and is allegedly putting up with a friend.

Sen, who is candid with her Instagram family, put rumours of a bitter breakup as was being speculated by some on the internet to rest with her recent post.

The former Miss Universe, whose recent outing as the lead star of the second season of series Aarya is winning praise, has remained open about her relationship throughout the duration of being with Shawl. There was speculation this year that the duo would tie the knot sometime soon. Speaking to the media, Shawl had said then that the four of them - him, Sen and her daughters - were already a family and that he was both a father and friend to the two young girls.
