The trailer of the upcoming gang war drama Cartel starring Supriya Pathak, Rithvik Dhanjani along with several other actors is out now.
The story of Cartel revolves around five gangs that control different parts of Mumbai. As disputes between gangs are quite common, Rani Mai played by Supriya Pathak makes a treaty between the gangs. This way, they don't cross their territories and maintain peace among the gang wars.
Due to certain events when the treaty breaks, the gangs face an imbalance in administration and come back to having disputes. The story of Cartel is full of manipulation, action, turns, and deceit.
Supriya Pathak is seen dressed in a nauvari saree in the trailer as it introduces the characters of the Angre family. Later her three sons are introduced - Major Bhau, Madhu Bhau, and Abhay.
Major Bhau is someone from the defence forces who now helps around in the gang. When he was asked by another character as to why he left the forces, he said that he hasn't, the only difference is that now he protects his family instead of the country.
"Finally, the show's trailer has dropped, and trust me, I'm the happiest right now. Everyone will get to see a different side of me. I've stayed with Abhay for three long years, and it's a beautiful feeling to see him on screens," said the actor Rithvik Dhanjani.
Dhanjani's co-star Tanuj Virwani said, "Cartel is not just an ordinary show. It is like a baap of action dramas. And I think the audience will get a glimpse of it through the trailer."
ALT Balaji and MX Player jointly released the trailer on Youtube. The film stars Marathi actors like Jitendra Joshi, Girija Oak Godbole, Mayur More, and Amey Wagh.
Other actors like Samir Soni, Anil George, Ashwath Bhatt, Shubhrajyoti Barat, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Krishna Kaul. The show would stream on MX Player’s SVOD service MX GOLD. It will release on August 20.
