Sumona Chakravarti, The Kapil Sharma Show actor shared a note on her social media sharing how lockdown has taken a toll on her emotionally, and also opened up about suffering from endometriosis since 2011 and being jobless.
Writing a long note on social media, the actor talked about working out at home and feeling guilty about her privileges. She wrote in the caption of her post about doing a proper workout after a long time, also adding how somedays she feels guilty of being bored as it is a privilege.
"I may be unemployed & yet am able to feed my family & myself. That is a privilege," writes the actor. She also talked about feeling low due to PMS and having mood swings, that play emotional havoc.
Chakravarti, who is a popular face in the Indian television industry, also spoke about her Endometriosis diagnosis and said that it was something she never shared before. The actor shared that she had been battling with the disease since 2011 and has been in stage 4 for many years.
After opening about her diagnosis, she also shared that a good eating habit, exercise and no stress is the key to her well being. However, she also added that the lockdown has been emotionally hard for her.
Through her post, Chakravarti wanted people to understand that the life of people in the film and television industry is not always glitter and glamour. She said that all of us are struggling with something or the other in our lives and that we all have our own battles to fight.
The 32-year-old actor stepped out of her comfort zone to share her feelings with everyone and ended her post by saying that all of us are surrounded by grief, loss, stress, pain, and hatred, but all we need in our life is love, compassion, and kindness because these will help us sail through this storm as well.
For many years, Chakravarti has been part of The Kapil Sharma Show. However, the show recently went off the air as its makers decided to make a few creatives in it and bring it back in a revamped avatar. The show was supposed to return to television in May but has been delayed due to the lockdown, and second wave of COVID-19.
