Sophia Di Martino, who starred in Loki, became a new fan of Alia Bhatt. She shared a note of appreciation for Alia Bhatt after seeing her in Gangubai Kathiawadi by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The British actor used her Instagram Stories to write about Bhatt's portrayal in the film, which received favourable reviews from both the public and critics when it was released in February of this year. It was one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year.

“Woahhh. What a turn @aliabhatt is going to take over the world in about a minute and a half #GangubaiKathiawadi” she wrote alongside the film’s poster. Alia Bhatt expressed gratitude to the Loki actor in her Instagram story. She wrote, "This means so much from someone who is about to takeover a whole multiverse." Martino replied, "Casual Fan Girling over here," to Bhatt.
Martino's fangirl moment extended to Twitter as well, where she wrote, "Oh come on, someone put us in a movie together so our kids can be best friends," in response to Alia Bhatt's fan page. Martino, 39, and her partner, actor Will Sharpe, have two kids together.

The movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, which was released in February, had its world premiere at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival. It is based on a chapter from the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by author S Hussain Zaidi. In the biographical drama, Bhatt plays the title character, one of Mumbai's Kamathipura neighbourhood's most powerful, adored, and respected madams in the 1960s. Vijay Raaz, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Ajay Devgn are also featured in the movie.
Bhatt's upcoming film, Heart of Stone, will be her screen debut in Hollywood. Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan also appear in Tom Harper's spy action thriller. Alongside Ranveer Singh, she will also appear in Karan Johar's film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
The actor was last seen with her husband Ranbir Kapoor in the blockbuster Brahmastra. Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna, and Shah Rukh Khan were also present in the movie. Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt, 29, married in April of this year, and their first child was born to them in November.
