All About Deepika Padukone's Character, Shakti Shetty
In an earlier report from Bollywood Hungama in August, it was disclosed that Deepika Padukone was set to play a significant role in the film. According to a source, Padukone was enthusiastic about her part in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. She was cast as the first female police officer within the Rohit Shetty Universe and had commenced her preparations for this action-packed character. According to the report, the character Padukone portrays resembles that of a female version of Singham and includes the storyline of Ajay Devgn's sister in the movie.
The source informed the publication that her role was an extensive one, necessitating approximately 35–40 days of shooting. It was described as a well-developed character, more than just a brief appearance, and instead, it was akin to a substantial supporting role for Padukone in Singham Again.
In the previous year, director Rohit Shetty officially announced in an interview with PTI that Padukone would be joining his cop universe. The actor-director pair had previously collaborated on the action-comedy film Chennai Express in 2019 and had recently worked together for the song Current Laga in Shetty's Cirkus.
