Sima Taparia has been in news recently lately owing to the return of her Netflix show, Indian Matchmatching. The matchmaker recently commented on the pairing of celebrity couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. She claimed that they are not a good match because of their age difference. However, days after her remark, Taparia has picked her favourite Bollywood couples.
Taparia's remarks on actor Chopra and her American singer-husband Nick Jonas drew a lot of attention. Now in a new interview, she has revealed that who according to her is the ‘perfect’ couple in Bollywood.

In an interview with Goodtimes, when Taparia was asked that who is the most perfectly matched celebrity couple, she said, “Call me old but I think Hema Malini and Dharmendra are perfect and amongst the youngsters, it’s Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli."
Previously, in an episode of Indian Matchmaking Season 2, when her client Nadia Jaggesar showed interest in Vishal, a bachelor who was seven years younger than her, Taparia was quick to dismiss the match due to age gap. Nadia cited the example of the celebrity couple, Chopra and Jonas, with an age gap of 11 years.
Taparia responded to the comment about Chopra and Jonas, “I don’t feel it’s a good match sorry to tell them.” She added, “It’s not a good match. He looks so small and petite in front of her and she looks elder.”
The matchmaker described herself as old-fashioned and said, “I think when a guy is seven years old, it’s okay. But for the girl to be seven years older, I don’t know. Maybe I am old-fashioned.”
Taparia’s comment about Chopra and Jonas drew flak and netizens slammed her on social media. One user said, “Someone tell this Sima Taparia that Priyanka and Nick don’t even know of her existence and certainly don’t care what she thinks of them.”
Priyanka and Nick got married in December 2018. Earlier this year, the couple recently had a baby girl named Malti Maria Jonas via surrogacy.
Chopra has been repeatedly shamed for the age gap between the married couple. During the Jonas Brothers Family Roast, she quipped about their age gap. She said that due to the age gap, the couple often teaches each other, “He showed me how to use TikTok for example. And I showed him what a successful acting career looks like.”
