"I Am Hoping That Dimple Cheema Has Watched Shershaah" - Sidharth Malhotra

Sidharth Malhotra On Dimple Cheema: Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer Shershaah released on OTT on 12th August. Since then, the actors are receiving praises from all corners of the country for their brilliant portrayal of Kargil hero Vikram Batra and his girlfriend Dimple Cheema respectively.

Sidharth Malhotra, in a recent interview, revealed that he didn't get a chance to interact with Dimple Cheema but he is hoping that she would watch the movie that revolves around the life-story of her love interest Vikram Batra who was martyred during the Kargil war.

He hopes that the movie brings a smile on her face. In an interview with a leading daily, Sidharth Malhotra said, "I never met her, but I am hoping that she's watched Shershaah and smiling. I am sure it is a very difficult watch for her as well but I really appreciate her sense of privacy and the purity she has for her love to Captain Vikram Batra."

Vikram Batra's family members, however, have watched the film and praised the actor for the brilliant portrayal of his son. Vishal Batra, Vikram Batra's brother, said in an interview that Sidharth has put in a lot of sweat, toil, and labour into his role. He also applauded Kiara saying that she has essayed Dimple in a very convincing manner.

Where is Dimple Cheema now?

Dimple Cheema is a teacher by profession. She is teaching in a school. As per reports, she refused to marry after Batra's death and has been living a life of his widow. She regrets the fact that Vikram Batra is not alive to share his Kargil stories with people. She also feels that he is an inspiration to the youth of our country.
