1. Shweta Tiwari

Shweta Tiwari was initially married to actor Raja Chowdhary, whom she divorced after facing physical abuse and domestic violence. Shweta went against her parents and tied the knot with him. Once things started becoming ugly, Tiwari decided to walk out of the abusive marriage. Later, she married Abhinav Kohli but unfortunately, even this marriage of hers didn't work out and she had to break ties with her husband on the grounds of physical assault. Recently, she shared that her decision to speak up against abusive marriages has made her daughter Palak Tiwari sensible, intelligent and strong.

2. Vaishnavi Dhanraj

CID actor Vaishnavi Dhanraj was in a troubled marriage with her husband Nitin. She tried working hard on their relationship but when nothing worked out, she took a stern action and went in for divorce. Domestic violence was the main reason behind it. Things could have been sorted out between them but physical abuse made them part ways.

3. Dimpy Ganguly

Dimpy Ganguly and Rahul Mahajan got married on a reality show. Months after the marriage, troubles began between the couple and Dimpy left Rahul's Worli house after being violently abused. There were bruises on her body and her cheek was also swollen. Ganguly accused Rahul of beating her and also alleged that during another fight, Rahul had pointed a gun at her. The two met on the sets of Bigg Boss and decided to be friends again. Later, she married Rohit Roy, a Dubai-based businessman and was blessed with a baby girl.

4. Mandana Karimi

Ex- Bigg Boss contestant Mandana Karimi came to India in 2012 to pursue a career in modelling and acting. She met Gaurav Gupta through a common friend and after dating for some time, they got married in Jan 2017. Karimi later filed a case of domestic violence against her husband. Allegedly, she was asked to give up her career after marriage. Things became uglier when she was barred from entering her house. She also accused her mother-in-law of harassing her. The actor was even thrown out of her matrimonial house. When she tried to reconcile with her in-laws, they didn't accept her back. She also claimed that she was insulted and not allowed to meet her friends.

5. Rashami Desai

Rashami Desai called her relationship with her ex-husband Nandish abusive. It was on the sets of Nach Baliye that Rashami realised she wanted to end her relationship with him. An incident that occurred on the third day of the reality show led her to take this decision. Though she genuinely loved him and wanted their marriage to be beautiful, Nandish made everything ugly.
