Shweta Tiwari-Abhinav Kohli case: After popular actor and Big Boss 4 winner Shweta Tiwari shared CCTV footage of alleged assault by her ex-husband Abhinav Kohli, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has written to the Mumbai Police seeking their intervention in this case.
The actor posted videos of her estranged husband purportedly assaulting her and her son.
Taking to their official Twitter handle NCW on Wednesday wrote how "perturbed" they are and further shared that they have taken cognizance of the matter. According to the tweet, Chairperson Rekha Sharma has written to Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale asking to immediately look into the matter and "take appropriate action in accordance with the law.”

"In the hustle, Shweta Tiwari falls on the ground" after the alleged assault in their society compound and "the accused continues to create ruckus after getting inside the house as well," the letter mentioned. It further stated how disturbed the commission got with "the sight of the atrocity being committed on a child and to the woman and the DGP Maharashtra is instructed to communicate to the commission within ten days, Sharma added in the letter.
In Shweta Tiwari-Abhinav Kohli case, the actor also made the allegations that because of his father’s behaviour, Reyansh goes through this mental trauma.
Earlier sharing the videos, Tiwari alleged that her former partner Kohli has physically abused her and Reyansh. She claimed that Kohli was trying to snatch their son from her arms and this incident happened in her society. Replying to the allegations, Kohli said that it was Tiwari who wanted to forcefully take Reyansh from his house, contrary to what Tiwari claimed in her post. Read all about it here.
