Netflix has revealed that the fourth season of Virgin River will launch on the streaming service on June 20, 2022. We're getting closer to the launch date, so the wait isn't too long.

This series, based on Robyn Carr's Virgin River series of books, follows Melinda, a nurse who is seeking to reclaim her life by starting over in a small town in Northern California, leaving her life in Los Angeles behind. Seasons 2 and 3 of Virgin River were released in November 2020 and July 2021, respectively, after the first season was released in December 2019.

Outlander

Outlander is a historical drama television series based on the novel by Diana Gabaldon. Claire Randall, played by Caitriona Balfe, a married former Second World War military nurse in Scotland in 1945, is transported to 1743. There, she meets, loves, and marries Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), a Highland warrior from Gabaldon's mythical Clan Fraser of Lovat, and joins the Jacobite rebellion. It has a total of 75 episodes spread across six seasons.

Claire, like Mel, uses her medical training and experience to aid those in need, but the main appeal of this historical drama is Claire and Jamie's love story, which is one for the ages.

Heartland

The show is based on Lauren Brooke's Heartland book series and follows Amy Fleming (Amber Marshall) and her older sister Louise Fleming on their Alberta-based family ranch, Heartland, where they live with their widowed grandfather Jack Bartlett, their father Tim Fleming, and hired farmhand Ty Borden. The family unites and grows closer as they experience the highs and lows of ranch life.

While you wait for season three of Virgin River, you can watch all 15 seasons of this show. Amy, the main character of Heartland, finds meaning in life after the death of her mother by treating horses. This is another great series on grief and recovery in a small town.

Gilmore Girls

Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel star in the American comedy-drama television series Gilmore Girls. Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter Rory are the central characters in Gilmore Girls.
