Shiv Shastri Balboa, the latest movie starring Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta, centres on Indian retiree Shiv Shastri (Kher). Shastri relocates to the US and finds himself on a strange road trip through the heartland of the country. The protagonist of the movie is a retired banker who has a passionate love for the Rocky movie series. To be closer to his family, he makes the decision to move to the US. When he gets there, he meets a Hyderabadi domestic helper, and they become friends. A trip the two take off goes wrong. The remainder of the narrative centres on what transpires as they attempt to restart things.
