Actress Shikha Malhotra suffered a stroke on Thursday, which reportedly left her paralysed on the right side of her body, impairing movement and speech. She is currently recovering at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital in Vile Parle. The incident comes two months after Malhotra tested positive for the coronavirus and had to be admitted to hospital for treatment.

- She was born on 9 July 1994 in New Delhi to Vidya Prakash Malhotra and Shobha Devi.
- Malhotra is known for her work in Bollywood movie 'Kaanchli Life in a Slough'. It has actor Sanjay Mishra in the lead role. The movie is talks about lustful men who cannot take ‘no’ for an answer and the gap prevalent between the haves and have-nots. Apart from this, she is seen in the Bollywood movie Running Shaadi.
- Shikha has also shared stage with Shah Rukh Khan in the 2019 film Fan.
- The actress has also worked with Shamim Sarif in The World Unseen. The movie also starred Lisa Ray, Parvin Dabas, Colin Moss amongst others.
