Shibani Dandekar's Mehendi party took place today, February 17th, ahead of her traditional Marathi wedding which is reportedly scheduled for February 19th. Dandekar's friends threw a unique mehendi celebration for the bride-to-be.
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have begun their pre-wedding festivities. Rhea Chakraborty and Amrita Arora were also seen arriving at the venue. Shibani's initial appearance at the function in yellow attire has also made its way online. Farhan Akhtar was also seen on his way in, but he wasn't dressed up for the occasion.
Bride-to-be Dandekar, dressed in a yellow saree with drills, was seen stepping out of her car at the special mehendi destination. She brought her sister, Anusha, along, and the two posed for photos together. A video of the incident has recently appeared on the internet.
The traditional Marathi wedding of Farhan Akhtar and Dandekar will take place on February 19 in Khandala. The sangeet will take place at Akhtar's Khandala villa tomorrow.

Previously, pictures from Farhan Akhtar's bachelor party also went viral on the internet, showing the actor with his close pals. One of them was holding a mask featuring Akhtar and Dandekar's faces. Akhtar himself posted photos of the bachelor celebration on Instagram.
Just a handful people will be able to attend the exclusive celebration due to the pandemic. Given the circumstances, it's clear that we won't be able to host anything on a huge scale, Farhan's father Javed Akhtar said during a recent interview.
“Both have always wanted a small wedding and are excited about their special day. Only their closest friends and family will be present at the event, which will be small and personal. It’ll be all about the food, music, laughter, and celebration." a source close to the couple reportedly said.
Farhan Akhtar was previously married to hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. He began seeing Shibani Dandekar, a model and actor, after his divorce, and the two have never kept their relationship low key.
