After her digital debut with the Amazon Prime Video film Shakuntala Devi last year, Vidya Balan is ready to return to the digital platform with her film Sherni. The film will premiere on the platform on June 18 and revolves around the topic of human vs animal conflict and the story of a woman's survival in a patriarchal society. Bandish Bandits

Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Bandish Bandits is a romantic web series directed by Anand Tiwari. The main characters of the show hail from different worlds of music, where Radhe Rathod (played by Ritwik Bhowmik) is a Hindustani Classical musician, and Tamanna Sharma (played by Shreya Chaudhary) is a pop singer.
Released in August 2020, the series received a positive response from both audiences and critics for its every aspect including the cast, writing, direction and music. It was also listed as one of the best Indian television shows of 2020 by critics. In the interview, Balan said that she "absolutely loved" the show.
Sound of Metal

Directed and co-written by Darius Marder, the 2019 Belgian-American drama is about a metal drummer who loses his hearing. Starring Riaz Ahmad and Olivia Cooke in the lead roles, the film had its world premiere at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival in September and was later released on Amazon Prime Video in December.
The film was nominated in six categories at the 93rd Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor, Best Film Editing, and Best Sound. It won awards in the categories Best Film Editing and Best Sound. Balan mentioned that she "absolutely loved" Ahmad's performance in the film.
Mare of Easttown

HBO original American crime drama limited series starring Kate Winslet is about a detective investigating a murder in a small town near Philadelphia. The seven-episode series also stars Jean Smart, Guy Pearce, and Julianne Nicholson among others in lead roles. Kate Winslet plays the role of a detective named Mare Sheehan, a local hero and a star of the town's high-school basketball about 25 years ago.
In the film, she investigates the murder of a teenage mother while also trying to keep her own life from falling apart.
The Favourite

A period black comedy set in early 18th century Great Britain revolves around the relationship between three cousins who are vying to be Court favourite of Queen Anne, played by Olivia Colman. Also starring Emma Stone, the film was premiered in August 2018 at the 75th Venice International Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize, and Colman won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress.
The film received ten Academy Award nominations, won seven BAFTA Awards and ten British Independent Film Awards. It was also ranked as one of the top ten films of 2018 by the American Film Institute.
