A new web series titled The Last Hour, with a promising storyline is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video on May 14.
Set in a Himalayan town, the show reportedly explores the story of a shaman (who influences good and evil spirits), who joins a newly transferred cop to track down a mysterious murderer.
The series backed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Asif Kapadia will feature Sanjay Kapoor, Raima Sen, Shahana Goswami, and Shaylee Krishen. The Last Hour is written and produced by Amit Kumar and Anupama Minz.
Here’s what we know about the debutante Shaylee Krishen:
-In 1980, the actor’s family had to flee along with thousands of Kashmiri Pandits to a refugee camp in Jammu and Kashmir.
-She was 8 years old when they left the camp to start a new life after her father landed a job in a bank.
-The young actor was introduced to the cinema through the Malayalam film Urumi, directed by Santhosh Sivan. While watching the film she decided to star in one of his films someday.
-An accidental meet up with the ace cinematographer Ravi Varman and the photographs he clicked of Shaylee became the actor’s ticket to Bollywood.
-Later, the photographs which resembled the Afghan refugee girl, who got featured on the 1985 National Geographic cover, got her the first role in films.
-She featured in the filmmaker Santosh Sivan’s bilingual film, Moha.
-Krishen has been paired opposite Shane Nigam in T K Rajeev Kumar film titled Bermuda.
