Who Is Shanaya Kapoor? All You Need To Know
1. Shanaya Kapoor belongs to one of the most distinguished film families in Bollywood. Her father, Sanjay Kapoor, is the brother of director Boney Kapoor and actor Anil Kapoor, and thus Shanaya is directly related to industry names Sridevi, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor.
2. The 21-year-old was seen on screen for the first time when she appeared on Netflix's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives last year alongside her mother, jewellery designer Maheep Kapoor. She has a younger brother Jahaan, both of whom were shown sharing a candid relationship with their parents.
3. As shown on the Netflix series, among Shanaya Kapoor's closest friends is actor Ananya Panday, whose film debut in 2019 also came under Dharma. Shanaya's social media reflects she's also pals with Navya Naveli Nanda (Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter) and Suhana Khan (Shah Rukh Khan's daughter).
4. In 2019, Shanaya Kapoor was a debutante at the Paris’ Le Bal des Débutantes, a global fashion event that witnesses youngsters from notable families mark their 'entry' onto the world stage. Her 'cavalier' to the ball was Maximilian Hindmarch. She was also one of the three who opened the ball with a dance.
5. She was reportedly an assistant director on the sets of Johar-backed Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, which starred her cousin Janhvi. In 2019, when asked her thoughts on making a debut under Johar, Shanaya Kapoor was quoted saying, "I mean, yeah! I don't think any actor would say no. He is family. He is talented and the most amazing director. I think I would start crying if Karan ever directs me. I would get emotional and just die."
