Shamshera cast's first look was shared on June 20, 2022 and the fans can't wait for the movie to come out. The Yash Raj movie is a period drama about the battle between the British and a dacoit tribe.
Shamshera will soon be hitting the silver screens in 2022 and everything about the movie is as exciting as its plot. The movie is an action packed period drama that is set in the 1800's India which was under the exploitative rule of the British and the fight for independence. While there have been many stories of Independence struggle, this one shows the battle that was fought by a dacoit tribe to chase away the English from their territory and to save their people.

Shamshera has a star studded cast with Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor leading the troupe. The other cast members in supportive roles include Saurabh Shukla, Ashutosh Rana, Ronit Roy, Tridha Choudhary and Pitobash Tripathy. Recently, the first look of Ranbir in the role of Shamshera was released in which he sported long hair with a long beard with a brown cloth draped around him holding an axe. Meanwhile Sanjay Dutt will be seen in the role of the antagonist while Vaani reportedly plays the role of a celebrated dancer.
Shamshera is one of the big budget Bollywood movies that will be releasing in 2022 made with a budget of Rs. 150 crores. After suffering a delay of four long years, the movie is finally is ready to reach the viewers. The shooting was reportedly completed in a custom built set of a massive fort that was constructed with the help of 300 workers in the span of 2 months. Vaani reportedly took Kathak classes for the preparation of her role as a dancer in the movie.
The movie is directed by Karan Malhotra and is made under Yash Raj Films banner. The movie will reportedly feature Ranbir in double role. It is said to release in standard versions as well as 3D and IMAX 3D versions and will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu. The movie is all set to release in theatres on July 22, 2022.
