Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone Starrer Pathaan Finally Set For 2023 Release

Revealing the mystery about the much-awaited film Pathan, actor Shah Rukh Khan released the first teaser along with the release date of the film.

The film has been directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films. Apart from Khan, the film also has Deepika Padukone and John Abraham playing pivotal roles in the film. As per the production house and the lead actor of the film, Pathaan will release in theatres on January 26, 2023, as part of its 50-year celebration.

The one-minute-long teaser of the film featured Khan, Padukone and Abraham talking about the plot of the film. The film seems patriotic in its nature and Pathaan, the protagonist sees his country as his "karam and dharam".

John Abraham in the teaser is heard saying, "Humare desh mein hum naam rakhte hain apne dharm ya jaati se, par uske paas inme se kuch nahi tha."In our country we name people based on their religion and caste but has none of these. He was posing with the national flag of India, while Deepika Padukone added, "Yahan tak ke uske paas koi naam rakhne wala bhi nahi tha, kuch tha, toh bas yehi ek desh." He did not even have someone to name him, only this country.

Then Shah Rukh Khan was seen in long hairstyle. He said, "To usne desh ko hi apna dharm maan liya aur desh ki raksha ko apna karam.” So he made his country his religion and made the protection of his country his only goal.

He goes on, "Yeh naam kyun pada, kaise pada, iske liye thoda intezaar kijiye," To know how he got his name and why you will have to wait for a while. The release date if the film along with its title came on the screen.

As per a report by Indian Express, the film will be part of the shared universe of spy films produced by Yash Raj Films. The universe includes Salman Khan's Tiger films, War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. It also rumoured that actor Salman Khan will make a cameo in Pathaan and Shah Rukh Khan will make a similar appearance in Salman's film Tiger 3 which is under production.

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in a big-budget film titled Zero which did not go well at box office. He went into a hiatus after that and was recently seen in headlines after his son Aryan Khan was arrested in drug case. After Pathaan, Khan is said to work with director Atlee and then Rajkummar Hirani. Actor Deepika Padukone on the other hand was recently seen in Shakun Batra directional Gehraiyaan.
