Over the past few months, the internet is exploding with fan-fueled drama and rumours about the feud between American singer Selena Gomez and American super-model Hailey Bieber. Gomez has finally broken her silence and shared a message on her official Instagram handle on Friday, where she defended Bieber and urged the fans to put the drama to an end.

Gomez mentioned that super-model Bieber reached out to her and made her aware of the fact that she has been receiving hateful negativity and death threats, she further claimed that this isn't actually what she stands for, and no one should experience hate or bullying. She added that she has always stood for and advocated for kindness and would want all this drama to stop. She urged her fans and followers after being aware of the amount of criticism Hailey has been facing.

Hours later Hailey Bieber posted a screenshot of her FaceTime with Super-model Kylie Jenner, which was a close-up of both their eyebrows, which the fans thought of as a dig against Selena.
• As fans grew more suspicious, on February 23 both Gomez and Jenner denied all the rumours being true, but the same day Gomez commented “I love you” on a video which referred to Jenner and Beiber as “nepo babies”. She also supported her best friend Taylor Swift the same day, in the comment section of a TikTok video where Hailey gagged at the mention of Swift.
• In the month, Gomez announced a break from all sorts of social media during a TikTok live video saying, “ I am too old for this”. But the rumours still kept increasing as Bieber posted a story with Rema’s song “Calm Down” but without Gomez’s feature in it, which the fans thought was a gesture against the singer.
